I don’t think it is fair to claim this is so due to prejudicial reasons. Boston (I used to live their too) is a very white city; most people in our society are attracted to their own race first and foremost. it’s just the way it is, and there isn’t anything wrong with that.
There is an obvious problem I see when a person laments that a particular race will not date them, especially when it is someone like the OP who is not considering dating black women: you typically want to date someone white because you don’t find blacks attractive… Then when you find that white women agree with your tastes (by not finding blacks attractive either) you cry foul and wonder about racism. Think about that for a moment. Like attracts like, especially in ones 20s, a time when everyone likes the same music, dresses the same, eat the same foods etc. When people suggest “it’s your attitude” that is the problem, I think this what they are really talking about (although they haven’t really put their finger exactly on it.) Until you see the beauty in your own race, you likely will not find anyone who sees beauty in you.
